Our Mission
At Social Skills Melbourne, our mission is to empower Neurodiverse children to thrive in social settings by equipping them with the tools and confidence to build meaningful connections. We believe every child deserves to feel understood, valued, and capable of navigating the world around them.
Through evidence-based social skills programs, we aim to create a fun, supportive environment where children aged 4 – 12 years can develop essential social and emotional regulation skills. By working closely with families, schools, and caregivers, we ensure these skills make a lasting impact.

Certified Facilitators
Dr Sonia Prescott & Melinda Gladman
Sonia and Melinda have extensive experience working with neurodiverse children who present with a wide range of social, emotional and behavioural challenges. They are particularly interested in developing children’s emotional regulation and social interaction skills to enable them to reach their full social and academic potential. Sonia and Melinda have delivered evidence based social skills programs both within public and private settings. They favour an approach which involves providing direct instruction to children and simultaneously supporting parents and teachers to help children generalize learnt strategies to everyday settings. By drawing on the latest research and neuro-affirming practices, their programs ensure the best possible outcomes for your child.
In addition to running social skills groups, Sonia and Melinda provide assessment and therapy services for neurodevelopmental disorders including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Intellectual Disability, Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Specific Learning Disorders (Dyslexia, Dyscalculia and Dysgraphia) and behavioural challenges.
Our Location
Our clinic is located at 97, Springvale Road, Nunawading. We operate our social skills groups, individual therapy and cognitive assessments from this easy to access location.
